WHY FOLDY EXISTS
An actor built the instrument he needed.
Foldy was created by actor and writer Nomè SiDone around a practical artistic need: an actor-controlled instrument for text work and line learning between rehearsals.
Josh is part of Foldy’s voice relationship and emotional origin. That presence belongs inside the instrument—not as a memorial performance and never as a substitute for the actor or the characters.

Scripts are parsed in the browser.Foldy processes pasted and uploaded scene material on the actor’s device before saved scenes sync for multi-device use.
Line-learning cue audio uses a cloud voice service.Line text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate mapped cue voices. Foldy does not claim that nothing leaves the device.
Retention records stay narrow.Run logs and scheduler records use fingerprints, grades and timestamps—not raw script text.
